Their words from yesterday make me braver today, everyday. They teached me to be loud and proud and never ashamed of telling or writing the truth even if it hurts. About my abortion, my period pain, the patriarchy, my fears, about toxic masculinity and toxic relationships. Because whenever we stand up for ourselves, we stand up for others, too. For those who are silenced. Personal experiences were and still are connected to larger social and political structures and it is massively important to support and discuss all those topics that matter so much but have been taboo subjects for too long. We have to fight stigmatization. And everything toxic.
